Is it a surprise that it’s Valentine’s Related?
1. Are you celebrating Valentine’s Day? Why or why not? Not really, I will probably say Happy Valentine’s Day but we didn’t buy each other candy or cards this year. Not really sure why. I didn’t think of it, to be honest, and before I knew it the day was here.
2. What does Valentine’s Day mean to you? And do you think it would be different if your romantic situation were different? To me Valentine’s Day is a day that I can be reminded of how important my loved ones are to me. While I may not say or do anything out of the ordinary, they are on my mind more than usual today. I know when I didn’t have a man Valentine’s Day just reminded me of how lonely I was and I couldn’t see past that. Now that I’m in an established, committed relationship I can see beyond that to what’s truly important, my family and friends.
3. What two gestures would you consider the most romantic? Doing the dishes & getting my way. Just kidding! (sort of.) I love a hug after a hard day and having my hair played with while I fall asleep. Those 2 things release all the tension in my body and make me feel better again.
4. What is more romantic, the amount ($$$) your significant other spends on you or the creativeness of the gestures? The creativeness. Anyone can go spend money, but when you put some actual thought into it THAT shows you really care.
5. Do you believe in “happily ever after”? Why or why not? No. All things come to an end. You can be blissfully happy for 50 years but eventually one of you will leave the other when you pass away. Of course if you want to be philosophical about it then yes, because you will see each other on the Other Side.
