I’ve been a little disturbed by the fact that in my dreams the past few nights I’ve been smoking. It felt so real that when I woke up this morning I actually wondered where my cigarettes were for a minute! Turns out my smoking in my dreams is completely innocent, thankfully:

It is very common for ex-smokers to dream about smoking. This type of a dream could be called wish fulfillment or a compensatory dream. The smoker misses smoking. He can not smoke during the day, and therefore he smokes in his dreams.
So it’s as simple as that! It makes sense too because I’ve been talking about it a lot lately. How it seems like much longer than almost 2 months since I’ve quit (New Year’s Eve will be 2 months). How I want to smoke again…but I won’t, things like that. Guess I just carried it over to my subconscious (yes, I can’t spell that word) life.
