Happy New Year!

I’m spending a cozy night at home (because we’re broke) playing Sims and surfing the web (because we’re broke). I did buy a $3 bottle of champagne but I probably won’t drink it because drinking alone is boring. Did I mention we’re broke? Anyway, you don’t need to spend money to have fun. I could re-watch an episode of “Most Haunted” that scared the bejeezus out of me last night or I could watch “The Incredibles” which I must do by Monday or Tom is going to send it back to Netflix. I hate being pressured to watch movies when I’m not ready. Of course, I probably wouldn’t be ready for 6 more months so I can’t blame him for turning the screws a little tighter. :)

I didn’t really have any resolutions for 2004. I stayed on Atkins for my typical 2-3 months. I think I’ve gained all the weight back though. I’m still fat as a house. My three major accomplishments of this year were:

1) Quitting Smoking. By and far the biggest thing I’ve done this year. Today marks 60 days since I quit smoking. I hardly miss it.

2) Getting Dulce Walls up & running. I’ve had 50,000 visitors since January 30 last year, far more than I ever anticipated.

3) Getting a job at Multi-Mega-Huge Financial Corporation. I didn’t think I had it in me to succeed for such a well-known, large company, but I’m holding my own with only minor complaints. ;)

My goals this year are:

1) Be nicer to Tom. There are a lot of times that I am just plain mean to him and that’s not fair.

2) Keep my work hours closer to 40 than 50. This week of vacation has taught me that I don’t want work to run my life. I can’t let it - it will kill me. I’ve quit smoking to improve my health, I’ll be working on losing weight to improve my health (once we have enough Money to purchase all those high protein foods, probably February-Marchish) and I’ve *got* to include my workaholic ways if I truly want to be healthy.

That’s all for now, I hope everyone has a safe & Happy Evening. Pray no one sets off any fireworks near our house tonight - it will go up like a tinderbox (is that even a word?)!
