What a Bargain!

I am not a bargain hunter but I got 2 awesome deals yesterday that I just have to share.

Tom & I went to a 6 hour class on How to Start a Small Business yesterday for $75 total. It was put on by the local chapter of SCORE. Score is an organization where (mostly) retired executives and small business people volunteer to share their knowledge & help you get your business up and running. Yesterday’s class was so great. We had a VP from a local bank talk about financing, an attorney, a VP of an insurance company, a partner in a CPA firm, etc. All were down to earth and answered questions that we had and they gave us their business cards & email address in case we had further questions. An *invaluable* resource.

Then last night we stopped at Office Depot on a whim (I’m an office supply junkie). There on the clearance rack I found a Red (actually it’s maroonish) leather daytimer for $5. Now, I already have a daytimer that I rarely use and I like to tell myself that if I had a NEW one I would use it more. :) THEN we f0und Franklin Covey Daily Daytimer pages for $1. That was it, I really needed to have these. I begged Tom & he finally said ok. I guess he figured that this would all, thankfully, only cost him $6. We went to the checkout & the girl said that the FC pages were originally $30. The Daytimer was originally $47 *and* it wasn’t $5 but only $1! So we got $77 worth of Daytimer for $2!!! Talk about a bargain. :) Now let’s see if I can use it.

Happy Easter!
