How dare you expose children to nature!

Found in the Enid, OK paper (sorry, Tony. Once it’s on Fark it’s fair game!)

How could photo of hawk picking up squirrel be run?

The Enid News and Eagle

I’m sure I’m not the only reader of your newspaper to complain about the picture of the hawk picking up the squirrel. How could you put such a picture in the paper? And, please, don’t tell me: that’s nature.”

And, as far as the photographer goes, he or she could have taken a picture of something more interesting or perhaps of something pretty. Think of the young children that saw that picture. Who in the world approved that being put in the paper?

Claudene Vaughan

Drummond

Yes, Claudene Vaughan Drummond. How DARE they publish a freaking nature picture on the damn front page? I mean God-dang! The kids who saw this are sure to become the type who are handicapped parking space violators, drug users, drug dealers or people who fight with their brothers and end up in the ER (all local headlines from Enid, OK). What in heaven’s name was God doing when he created PREDATORS and PREY? Didn’t he realize how traumatized your little darlings would become if they saw a sweet little innocent (not to mention rabid & mean as hell) squirrel being picked up by a hawk. Think of all the young impressionable minds GOD ruined by doing that. Sigh.
