I’ve finally received my very first Nigerian Scammer email! I’ve been reading about them for years but have never had the pleasure of receiving one myself until now.
Poor Senator Luisa Pimentel Estrada, a 74 year old lady and the first wife of Joseph Ejercito Estrada (former head of state and President of Philippines) is being held in detention in a hospital outside of Manilla (sic), Philippines. The current administration of Gloria Arroyo the present government has resolved to freeze all known assets of Mr. Estrada including properties at home & abroad and they are attempting to seize the various bank accounts of Mr. Estrada in Switzerland, UK and Australia.
Of course Mrs. Estrada was smart enough to move $18 million to an offshore deposit company. Since friends in the past have tried to capitalize on their misfortune, she, along with her son DANIEL (not sure why they put that in all caps) need my help.
Wow. I’m truly touched Mrs. Estrada, but I’m sorry. You won’t be getting my full name (who would entrust 18 million to someone who’s name they don’t even know anyway?), contact address, telephone number or fax number. Seriously, how the hell are people sucked in by this crap? I must give them credit for researching their roles. A quick google on Mr. Estrada confirms that he was the president, but resigned in disgrace once charged with embezzlement. This was in 2000-2001, so fairly recently. He seems to be a delusional man, this Mr. Estrada. His website tells you how to write to Joseph Estrada “The President”.
OMG! I just found some guy who Mrs. Estrada wrote to in 2003 with basically the same damn story! That hussy! That’s it, we’re through now!
